Some people have been having problems with the IRDA modules on their Sendo X phones, which in turn causes rapid battery discharge and a heating up of the handset. This is caused by a known bug in the 1.198.8.2 firmware. |

 Thanks to our great friends at All About Symbian, we've managed to get the Sendo Smartphones website back online. Following the decission to take the website off-line on Tuesday, we've received many emails and messages of support; some offering donations, some offering to help host our downloads, and some offering to help us by hosting the entire site.

An article recently published by The Register shows some insight into the demise of Sendo, and details what Motorola paid for parts of the business. Interestingly, nothing gets mentioned about the Microsoft influence or the settlement Sendo and Microsoft eventually reached last year.

We all knew it would happen sooner or later, yet somehow it still came as a shock.
Sendo's website has been taken off-line, meaning no more access to the firmwares or other downloads published there. Knowing this would happen, Sendo Smartphones has managed to secure a large amount of the content from the Sendo website, all of which you will find available in our Software Downloads section. |
