| Sendo X2 to be available in April? |

One of the rumours going round since the anouncement of the Sendo X2
back in Februaby has been that it was due for release in April this
year. Is this true?
Franky - No! An April release would have been far too fast, even for the likes of Nokia (as can be seen by the continuing delays on their 6680, also anounced at Cannes). What is far more likely is
that the April date mentioned was actually a date when the phone would
be sent to the networks for operator aproval.
Using
known details from Sendo\'s testing timescales for this phone, an April
date for operator testing does make sense - initial internal testing of
the phone was due to start in the last week of February (but slipped
one week) and continue for one month, which would make an April date
for the networks *just* about correct.
If we presume that this date has slipped one or two weeks as well (as a knock-on from the initial delay), then a sensible timescale would point to a June or July release for the phone. Time will tell how accurate this is! |
